Close but no cigar

Today I broke away for a quick lunch fishing attack. Knowing that the icy cold northern wind was going to make it a challenge to get them going. True, it was butt cold and I struggled switching gloves continuosly as they got wet…

I offered my sizzling hot lures in shallow waters, I offered them in deep waters. Fast, and slow. But no pikes wanted to play today. Time didn´t quite allow for a full hunt so after just three spots I dashed home. But by then, the sun had broken through the grey skies and my snacks had been enjoyed to the full in a sunny bay.

So, I got home with plenty of time to pick the little ones up at nursery school. Without a trophy, but with the memories of beautiful autumn day that all-in-all dominates the living crap out of most ordinary days.
